Contrast

For this photo I wanted to find contrast. It was hard to find contrast around the area I was in but I managed to get this photo without setting it up. This leaf was the only yellow leaf that was on the bush so I took advantage of the scene to use it as contrast. I used the portrait mode on the mode dial in order to make the leaf stand out more than it already did. The f-stop was 5.6 and the shutter speed was 1/60.

Unlike the other photo, this one was set up. Like mentioned before, it was a bit difficult to find contrast. I really like the way the photo came out. The light purple of the flower petals and the bright green from the stem really stand out from the lightly darker and more neutral background. For this photo the f-stop was also 5.6 and the shutter speed was 1/50.

Facade

For this photo I went to the front the school to get the face of it. Facade is the face of something such as a building or a person. In this case I had to do the school. I wasn't quite happy with the angle but it was a bit difficult to take a picture at the right angle.

Photos on Night Mode

In this photo we used the Night Mode in the mode dial and took pictures in a darker area. The area where the photo was taken was under part of the school. Not much sun reached this area. While using the Night Mode, the photo came out clear and bright.

Rule of Thirds

In this photograph I used the Rule of Thirds in which I chose the focus of the photo to be on the left side. Instead of having the main focus in the center, its off to the side. I found that this photo in particular had good composition from the other photos I had taken.

In this photo I also used the Rule of Thirds in which the person in the photo isn't in the center of the frame.
